1) You guys are about to do a 3 day run of shows starting this Friday in Boston. To someone who might not be familiar with you guys, how do you describe what Joe coffee sounds like?
PB: better than your band...or that guy standing next to you's band...they stink on ice.

2) To my ears, the new CD "When the fabric don't fit the frame" is one of the best records I've heard. It has lyrics that a lot of people can relate to, it has some upbeat aggressive tunes, it has some slow melancholy ones as well; there is real emotion pouring out of this release. How satisfied are you with it? I think it shows some real progression from the 1st CD to this one, do you agree that the band is growing as song writers?
PB: very satisfied with the record...hopefully even moreso when it get's re-released early the coming new year.

3) If you are a friend of the band on myspace, it is no secret that you have a thing for R&B from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Will you ever try your hand at some of the standards from those eras? Either in Joe Coffee or a side project?
PB: one day,yes i shall...we'd love to get a sax player.

4) On either your web site or myspace there are covers of the Echo and the Bunnymen song Killing Moon and Only You by Yazoo. Both are really done well, how much fun was it to step outside of the punk world and do covers like these? Any chance either of them are in the set for this coming weekend?
PB: i highly doubt that any of the 2 aforementioned songs will be performed live this weekend.

5) I just heard that Goat is no longer in the band. He is a favorite drummer of mine so I bummed not to see him this weekend. Who is the new guy and how is it sounding?
PB: new drummer is named danny...he's young and spry....goat decided to get a "real" job...good luck to him.

6) You have played Boston many times and you lived here in the 90s. When you think of Boston, what memories come to mind?
PB: finding out the day i was leaving for a 5 week tour of europe that my slut of an (now ex) girlfriend had been cheating on me.

7) I hear the new CD will be re-released soon. What label will this be on? Besides a European tour later this year, will the band be doing any tours of the US. Is that even possible with the state of the economy these days?
PB: i-scream will be re-releasing the lp...touring will come as soon as we can get it together...

8) After all the years you have been doing bands, what keeps you making music? Do you feel you still have something to say? Or is it more about getting the emotions down on tape?
PB: all of the above...and,i'm a glutton for punishment,as well.

9) Joe Coffee has been around for 6 years. For a band, that is a long time. Is a new CD being worked on? When can we expect new songs from the band?
PB: it's been over 7 years, and new songs are in the works...new rythym section has to be introduced to them...sooner than soon,i hope.

10) Any upcoming spoken word shows that you want to promote? or any last words? anything you want to plug?
PB: nothing in the works,as of now...hopefully it will pick up...new website coming soon...come out, have fun, don't be a friggin' dick.
